Finding Your Own Path

Warrior Words- Ep. 4

(00:00:01):

Hi Warriors, welcome back to Warrior Words.

(00:00:04):

I'm so grateful to have you here with me.

(00:00:06):

Today as we dive into something that's been weighing on my heart lately.

(00:00:12):

Finding your own path.

(00:00:16):

I know that sometimes it feels like the world is trying to tell you how to live

(00:00:23):

your life,

(00:00:25):

how we should move through life,

(00:00:28):

and what success looks like.

(00:00:32):

social media, the people around us, everyone has an opinion and it can get overwhelming.

(00:00:42):

But today I want to remind you that your path is yours.

(00:00:51):

That's very important.

(00:00:52):

I'm going to say that again.

(00:00:54):

Your path is yours.

(00:00:56):

It took me a while to understand that.

(00:00:58):

And, you know, I've been there feeling like I wasn't

(00:01:02):

where I should be comparing my steps to others' journeys and feeling like I was falling behind.

(00:01:10):

But I've learned that when we start to live our lives based on someone else's timeline,

(00:01:20):

we lose sight of our own beautiful journey.

(00:01:25):

I want to encourage you today, though.

(00:01:27):

No matter where you are in your journey,

(00:01:31):

It's exactly where you need to be.

(00:01:35):

You're walking a path designed for you.

(00:01:40):

No one else's footsteps fit into your shoes.

(00:01:44):

And that's a good thing.

(00:01:47):

God is leading you where you need to go.

(00:01:51):

And it's okay if you feel like it's unfamiliar or it doesn't look like someone else's journey.

(00:01:59):

So I want to share with you a few scriptures,

(00:02:04):

not as mere words,

(00:02:05):

but as reminders to keep your heart focused when you start feeling distracted or discouraged.

(00:02:16):

The first one is from Proverbs chapter 3, verse 5 through 6.

(00:02:24):

Trust in the Lord with all your heart.

(00:02:27):

and lean not on your own understanding.

(00:02:31):

In all your ways, submit to him, and he will make your path straight.

(00:02:38):

In the King James Version,

(00:02:39):

it says,

(00:02:40):

in all your ways,

(00:02:41):

acknowledge him,

(00:02:43):

and he will direct you on your path.

(00:02:47):

There's been countless moments when I've

(00:02:55):

I've been there.

(00:02:56):

I've thought that.

(00:02:57):

I mean, I didn't understand why things were happening the way they were.

(00:03:02):

And I've learned to trust that God's plan is bigger than my understanding.

(00:03:14):

Even in moments when I feel lost, trust that he is guiding me.

(00:03:23):

In moments where you feel lost, you need to trust that he is guiding you.

(00:03:29):

Your path is unfolding as it should, even when it doesn't make sense to you.

(00:03:36):

And here's another verse that has been a source of strength for me.

(00:03:41):

And it's Isaiah chapter 40, verse 31.

(00:03:46):

But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.

(00:03:51):

They shall

(00:03:52):

Soar on wings like eagles.

(00:03:55):

They shall run and not grow weary.

(00:03:57):

They will walk and not be faint.

(00:04:02):

Warrior,

(00:04:03):

there is going to be days,

(00:04:05):

there will be days,

(00:04:07):

when your strength feels like it's running low.

(00:04:11):

There will be times when you feel like you don't or you can't go any further.

(00:04:18):

But remember,

(00:04:20):

When you put your hope in God, he will renew your strength.

(00:04:27):

You're not meant to do this alone.

(00:04:28):

You're not meant to do this alone.

(00:04:31):

He's with you every step of the way, carrying you when you need it most.

(00:04:38):

For I know the plans that I have for you,

(00:04:40):

declares the Lord,

(00:04:42):

plans to prosper you and not to harm you,

(00:04:45):

plans to give you a hope and a future.

(00:04:48):

That's another verse that I hold close to my heart.

(00:04:51):

Jeremiah chapter 29, verse 11.

(00:04:55):

I know there are moments when you feel uncertain about where your path is leading,

(00:05:01):

but this is the truth you can stand on.

(00:05:05):

God has a plan for you.

(00:05:08):

One filled with hope and a future that is good.

(00:05:14):

Don't let your doubts creep in.

(00:05:16):

Keep moving forward with the faith that your steps are leading you exactly where you need to be.

(00:05:27):

It's so easy to get caught up in comparing your journey to others.

(00:05:32):

I've done it too.

(00:05:34):

I've said that.

(00:05:35):

I've watched others move forward in their careers, their personal lives, their health even.

(00:05:41):

And I've wondered why my path didn't look the same, but comparison is a thief.

(00:05:47):

It steals your peace, your joy, and your focus.

(00:05:55):

You are created for a unique purpose, and your path is designed just for you.

(00:06:03):

It doesn't have to look like anybody else's, and honestly, it shouldn't.

(00:06:09):

No one else can walk your

(00:06:11):

journey the way you can.

(00:06:13):

That's why it's yours and yours alone.

(00:06:18):

It's okay if your pace is different.

(00:06:21):

It's okay if it feels like you're taking detours or you're not where you expect it to be.

(00:06:30):

What matters is that you keep moving forward one step at a time.

(00:06:37):

You may not always know where you're going

(00:06:40):

But if you keep trusting, you'll always be where you're supposed to be.

(00:06:50):

And let's be real.

(00:06:53):

There are days when the path seems foggy,

(00:06:57):

when you feel lost,

(00:06:59):

or like you're not making any progress.

(00:07:02):

In those moments, I want you to remember this.

(00:07:07):

It's okay to feel lost sometimes.

(00:07:11):

You don't have to have it all figured out.

(00:07:15):

When I find myself feeling discouraged, I remember Psalms 119, verse 105.

(00:07:24):

Your word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.

(00:07:29):

This verse reminds me that when the road seems unclear, I can trust that God, God and his words,

(00:07:40):

We'll light the way.

(00:07:43):

Even when I can't see the full, the entire, the whole picture, I don't have to.

(00:07:50):

He's guiding me step by step.

(00:07:53):

So trust him.

(00:07:55):

Warrior, if you're feeling lost right now, know that it's part of the journey.

(00:08:00):

Okay?

(00:08:03):

It's part of the journey.

(00:08:05):

We have to find our way sometimes.

(00:08:09):

It's in those moments that God does his most powerful work,

(00:08:14):

shaping us,

(00:08:16):

strengthening us,

(00:08:18):

and preparing us for what's ahead.

(00:08:24):

Don't let discouragement steal your joy.

(00:08:27):

Keep going because every step is a part of your growth.

(00:08:37):

Remember your journey is yours for a reason.

(00:08:41):

Your path is unique, just like you.

(00:08:48):

So let go of the pressure to compare yourself to others.

(00:08:52):

Trust the progress.

(00:08:54):

Trust God's timing.

(00:08:57):

And trust that you are exactly where you're supposed to be.

(00:09:01):

Your steps matter even when they seem small.

(00:09:06):

Don't get distracted by anyone else's path, anyone else's journey.

(00:09:11):

Your path is leading you to something beautiful.

(00:09:16):

Something only you can accomplish.

(00:09:20):

I'm proud of you for being on this journey with me.

(00:09:26):

For staying true to your own path.

(00:09:29):

And for choosing to be resilient day after day.

(00:09:34):

So keep going, warrior.

(00:09:37):

You've got this.

(00:09:41):

So I want to thank you for joining me today on Warrior Words.

(00:09:47):

I will be here cheering you on every step of the way.

(00:09:51):

Until next time, stay focused, stay strong, and most importantly, stay true to your path.

(00:10:00):

Be blessed.
